Your first session is all about getting to know each other in a safe, non-judgmental space. We’ll talk about what brought you here, your goals for counselling, and any concerns you have. I’ll explain how I work, discuss confidentiality, and answer any questions you might have. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for—this session is about helping you feel comfortable and understood.

Yes, absolutely. Everything you share with me is strictly confidential, with only a few legally required exceptions (such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or certain court-ordered situations). I take your privacy very seriously and follow professional guidelines and supervision to ensure your information is protected.

My standard session fee is affordable and competitive within the region (exact rate provided at booking). I offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots for those experiencing financial hardship—please don’t hesitate to ask. I also provide direct billing for many extended health insurance plans and can supply detailed receipts for reimbursement. Payment is easy via e-transfer or credit card.
